A small boy (age three) and his brother (age seven) were both placed in DHS custody in April. The children were living with their Mother in a shed in Muskogee. The father was not in their lives. The shed had no running water and no electricity. During the springtime months, the weather gets down into the 40’s and can be very cold especially when living outside. The children were hungry, cold, and neglected. When DHS got involved and removed the children, they were placed in the care of grandparents. When the children arrived at FH they had nothing but what they were wearing. FH provided our #bagfullofhope supplies. Both boys had birthdays in March and April. Fostering Hope provided a birthday party for each child. This new Birthday program offers new gifts, along with an outfit, cake, and party supplies. We know the lives of both of these boys were impacted in a positive and affirming way.
